Estates and Facilities and Business and Administration (bands 2 - 4) will have the opportunity to attend 2 workshops throughout day.  Please see further details below. 

 

Morning Workshops (Estates and Facilities and Business and Administration (Bands 2 - 4) only)

1.  Learning to Lead 

Recognise the leadership skills you have and use every day as a support worker in your workplace. Find out more about the different ways every team member leads and contributes to a successful team.

 

2.  How Do You Like to Learn?

Did you know we all learn in different ways? Find out more about how you and your colleagues like to learn. This workshop will help you understand the different learning styles and how to make use of these at work.

 

3.  Ready, Steady, Learn 

Want to learn but not sure where to start? Find out more about making a learning plan, using education pathways for personal and career development and choosing the type of learning that suits you best.

 

4.  Get Recognition for Prior Learning from Experience in the Workplace for Your Career Development 

You have many opportunities to learn in the workplace but how do you make them count?  This workshop will look at the different types of recognition of prior learning and how to record your learning for your career development.

 

Afternoon Workshops  (Estates and Facilities and Business and Administration (Bands 2 - 4) only)

1.  Learning to Lead

2.  Learning at Work

Find out more about supporting others in the workplace, from apprentices, new colleagues to other members of your team. This workshop will give you tips and tools for your own learning and how to support colleagues to learn at work.

 

3.  Getting More Out of Your PDPR Conversation

Your PDPR conversation should be one of the most meaningful conversations you have in the workplace all year.  Find out how to make it work better and be more meaningful for your personal and career development.

 

4.  How Resilient Are You?   

Taking steps to look after your wellbeing can help you deal with pressure and reduce the impact that stress has on your life. Resilience is not just your ability to bounce back, but also your capacity to adapt in the face of challenging circumstances, whilst maintaining a stable mental wellbeing. This workshop will give you tips and tools to develop and build your own resilience.
