MRI Clinical Scientist

Stephen is a Clinical Scientist specialising in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Physics. He leads the MRI Physics group at NHS Tayside, where work involves evaluating MRI safety of patient implants, quality assurance, clinical MRI protocol development, and quantitative clinical reporting of patient images.  Stephen has an active involvement in teaching and training and heads the NHS Scotland Medical Physics and Clinical Engineering Training Scheme (SMPCETS).  The subject of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is of topical interest - particularly related to the provision of guidance for trainees and supervisors around all aspects of AI use in Healthcare Science teaching and training.
