Sarah Smith is the Healthcare Science Professional Advisor at Scottish Government, a post she has held for 18 months.

Sarah is a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist working more recently in a dual role at NHS Lothian as the Boards Healthcare Science Professional Lead and Education, Training and Development Lead for Laboratory Medicine.

She has also been employed at Edinburgh and South East Scotland Blood Transfusion Service undertaking a variety of roles within both clinical and manufacturing and has also been employed with NHS Education for Scotland as the Healthcare Science Education Development Lead for NHS Lothian and Borders.
