Clinical Scientist, Senior Respiratory Physiologist

Sara works as a Senior Clinical Respiratory Physiologist in the NHS Lothian Respiratory Physiology Service and has recently become a Clinical Scientist via the STP equivalence route with help from AHCS (Academy for Healthcare Science) and NHS Education for Scotland (NES). Her role in the work place comprises of patient testing, acting as a work-based assessor for the Glasgow Caledonian University Respiratory Physiology students and STP students and many managerial tasks. Personally and as a service they are actively involved in research and attend many conferences and meetings to ensure they are clinically relevant.
Sara acts as a technical examiner for the ARTP Professional Qualification Exams and participates in the promotion of wider healthcare science community through Science Week events, national HCS events and the Skills Scotland Edinburgh event.
She is Vice-Chair of the ARTP Workforce Committee and works on the ARTP stand at conferences such as the Winter BTS meeting to raise their governing body profile.
