Healthcare Science Associate Director
NHS Education for Scotland
Dr Robert Farley is the Associate Director for Healthcare Science at NHS Education for Scotland (NES). The workstream commissions and supports nationally postgraduate scientist training; NES CPD programmes for scientists; and events and UK-level engagements on behalf of NHS Scotland’s training interests. Training programme management and quality monitoring of scientists’ training in Healthcare Science, is an important aspect of NES work. Previously, Rob was seconded to Scottish Government its first national project officer for HCS, and prior to that has worked as a bioengineer with NHS Lothian and in other clinical engineering roles around Scotland. He is a clinical scientist a chartered engineer and Higher Specialist registrant. He serves on the Academy for Healthcare Science Regulation Board.
