Dr Patricia Townsley has 30+ years’ experience working in the NHS with a clinical background in ENT, community paediatrics and paediatric audiological medicine. Patricia has a wide experience in clinical and non-clinical extended roles both locally at departmental / health board as well as national and UK level.

Patricia has been a SAS Educational Adviser for NHS Lanarkshire and The State Hospital for 10 years contributing to the work of the SAS Development Programme nationally and locally to develop guidance and educational resources to support the professional development and wellbeing of SAS Doctors and Dentists.

Patricia is a member of the FDA Leadership and Management Programme (LAMP) faculty and a facilitator on the LAMP course for both trainee and
non-trainee sessions and is keen to empower others to realise their potential.

A trained coach, Patricia has a particular interest in coaching for career development and wellbeing. She also completed the Scottish coaching and leading for improvement programme (SCLIP) as part of a NHS Education for Scotland (NES) cohort and is part of the NES QI alumni network.
