Head of Clinical Technology

NHS Highland

Owen Mills is Head of Clinical Technology for NHS Highland. He leads a range of Assistive Technology and Clinical Engineering teams serving NHS Highland, Western Isles and Grampian. He advises NHS Highland and the University of the Highlands and Islands on innovation work involving medical devices. He supervises Clinical Scientist trainees, and is an assessor for candidates seeking Clinical Scientist registration. He recently joined NHS Scotland’s Medical Physics & Clinical Engineering Executive Board. Before joining NHS Highland, Owen worked in the NES Healthcare Science Core Team, and as a bioengineer with NHS Lothian and Greater Glasgow & Clyde.
