Dr Mary Doherty is an autism researcher and Consultant Anaesthetist based in Ireland, as well as an Associate Clinical Professor with University College Dublin School of Medicine. In 2019, she founded Autistic Doctors International (ADI), a peer support and advocacy group for autistic doctors. Drawing on the research and personal experiences of Dr Doherty and her peers, ADI is dedicated to improving healthcare for autistic people and improving working life for autistic healthcare providers, and includes over 800 members across Europe, the UK, US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
