Lorna Crawford completed a BSc Hons in Genetics and an MSc in Medical Genetics before joining NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde in 2002. After completing her Clinical Scientist training within the West of Scotland Centre for Genomic Medicine, and obtaining a Diplomateship of the Royal College of Pathologists, she was promoted to the role of Principal Clinical Scientist. In 2018, she took a part-time position within NHS Education for Scotland (NES) to become a Principal Lead for Healthcare Science, and was subsequently promoted to Head of Quality Assurance. In 2023 she registered as a Higher Specialist Scientist with the Academy for Healthcare Science. She holds various professional roles within academia, the HCPC, the Academy for Healthcare Science, and the Association of Clinical Scientists.
