Speech and Language Therapy Support Worker

Kirsty Paton is a Speech and Language Therapy Support Worker with two decades of successful experience working in the Adult Speech and Language Therapy team in NHS Dumfries & Galloway.

She has previously established peer learning groups for Allied Health Professions (AHP) support workers locally to promote shared, self-directed learning between colleagues.

In 2018-20 she undertook a NES AHP Careers Fellowship secondment to explore the role of AHP Assistant Practice Educators and became an active member of the NES HCSW Advisory Group.

She continues to contribute to promoting learning and development culture for HCSWs locally & nationally.
