Kerry Tinkler

Director of Professional Standard

Academy for Healthcare Science

Kerry is the Director for Professional Services at the Academy for Healthcare Science.  She is also the clinical lead for the national Improving Quality In Physiological Service (IQIPS) programme.  Kerry has worked as a Clinical Vascular Scientist since graduating in 1995.  She went on to complete an MSc in vascular ultrasound and a Doctorate in medical imaging from the University of Portsmouth. 

She has worked in the vascular departments in Leicester, Portsmouth, Kings College Hospital and currently works at the Royal Free Hospital in London.  She developed the unit at the Royal Free, which is now recognised as a centre of excellence for vascular ultrasound. Kerry was the President of the Society of Vascular Technology of GB & Ireland 2009-2011.

Kerry worked for the Chief Scientific Officer on a one year secondment. She was the manager of the 18 weeks programme at the Royal Free, and is the HCS professional lead across the Trust.
