Gordon has run his own business for the past 29 years and has had the privilege of working in most market sectors for organisations throughout the United Kingdom. The original business provided design for print and marketing services, then moving with the times, to web and social media services.

In 2006, he launched a podcast production company developing audio and video podcasts for a range of clients from universities and colleges to building societies and private companies. Further development led to the provision of a full range of social media services such as social media strategy, social media management, content creation, and video production.

In June 2010, he managed the transition of Design Matters and Podcastmatters into one new digital agency- fatBuzz. fatBuzz has hosted monthly New Media Breakfast seminars in Glasgow and Edinburgh for over 5 years. These events attract around 100 decision makers who are keen to keep up to date with digital media and communication.

Gordon regularly delivers seminars, presentations and workshops to organisations throughout the UK such as recent engagements with the Institute of Directors, The Chartered Institute of Public Relations, Institute of Investor Relations, Institute of Chartered Accountants, Institute of Fundraisers and Scottish Institute for Enterprise.

He also delivers guest lectures at the University of Strathclyde and the University of the West of Scotland.

Gordon is a past Chairman of Links of Scotland, a consortium of 26 golf related businesses formed to market their goods and services in the USA and the Far East. Gordon acquired John Letters of Scotland in 1999 and was Chairman of the company until he sold it to Direct Golf in 2006.

Gordon also hosts a monthly podcast called ‘Social Media Podcast’ with commentary about social media and interviews from world leaders in the field; the Social Media Podcast has often been the No.1 audio podcast in the iTunes Podcasting category.

Gordon is married with three children; he enjoys drawing, painting and golf. He is an accomplished golf artist selling prints of his work via the Internet all around the world.

He also recently published the book ‘Paper, Pencils & People’ which is a collection of his pencil drawings of iconic people, past and present.
