Specialist Biomedical Scientist (Cellular Pathology)

Gordon Kirk is a Specialist Biomedical Scientist in Cellular Pathology for NHS Lothian, based at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and Western General Hospitals.

Gordon has been a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist since 2011 has been employed at NHS Lothian since 2009. Since passing the IBMS specialist portfolio in 2016 Gordon has been heavily involved with the training of trainee Biomedical Scientists.

Gordon has been training in histological dissection since 2018 and is currently doing the IBMS Diploma of Expert Practice in Histological Dissection.

Gordon has studied at Edinburgh Napier University.
