HAI Quality Improvement Facilitator

Gillian has worked as an Infection Prevention and Control Nurse for almost 10 years. In March 2014, she was appointed as a Healthcare Associated Infection – Quality Improvement Facilitator (HAI-QIF), the HAI-QIF role is a 2 year seconded post, funded by the Scottish Government.
This role involves supporting the Infection Prevention and Control Teams across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde in the establishment of sustainable Quality Improvement (QI) projects in association with key partners such as SPSP Programme Leads, Leading Better Care and Practice Development Teams to ensure the development of a culture of excellence in continuous quality improvement and HAI reduction throughout the Board.
