HAI Quality Improvement Facilitator
Scottish Ambulance Service
Catherine has been an Infection Prevention and Control Nurse since 2006 working in both the acute and primary care sectors within NHS Grampian. During this time she completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Infection Prevention and Control and is currently working towards her Masters. In 2012 she took up a 21 month secondment at the Professional and Practice Development Unit within NHS Grampian as a Leading Better Care facilitator and her love of Quality Improvement was born.
On returning to Infection Prevention and Control she then started in the role of HAI Quality Improvement Facilitator, a secondment which has allowed her to combine her Infection Control and Quality Improvement knowledge to support the staff at the sharp end of the organisation.
