Dr Bernie Croal is a Consultant Chemical Pathologist from Aberdeen, Scotland. He is Clinical Director of The Clinical Biochemistry Department, NHS Grampian. Over the last 10 years he has filled many roles at RCPath including Scottish Council chair, Biochem SAC Chair, Informatics and Quality Chair and Vice-President (2011-14).

His interest in Demand Optimisation stretches back 20 years. More recently, he has chaired the Scottish Demand Optimisation Programme since 2015, now about to commence phase 3.
