NHS Education for Scotland

Angela Shepherd has worked as a nurse in the NHS in a variety of clinical settings including care of the elderly, acute medicine, and coronary care. Angela has always been interested in practice education and staff development and in 2004 she began working for NHS Education for Scotland (NES) as a Practice Education Facilitator.  Angela moved to her current role as a NES Nursing and Midwifery Practice Educator (PE) in 2011.  She is based in NHS Tayside, where her main responsibility is supporting the continuing professional development of practitioners in direct care giving roles.
