Andrew provides Professional Leadership for the Healthcare Science (HCS) specialisms within NHS Lothian. He supports healthcare scientists in maximising their contribution to the delivery and redesign of services. He assists local implementation of National plans and policies about or relevant to HCS. He promotes local awareness of and understanding of the importance of HCS for safe, high quality and effective healthcare.

Andrew has a role in NHS Lothian’s Medical Physics department, providing expert specialist advice on regulatory, engineering, scientific and safety matters relating to medical devices and technology.

Andrew is a Clinical Scientist, Chartered Engineer, and a Fellow of the Institute of Physics”.
