After studying Medical Engineering at Cardiff University, Abi worked as a Clinical Technologist in an Alternative and Augmentative Communication Service in Kent, which gave her the drive to pursue Scientist Training. She joined the NES Scientist Training Scheme in 2019, completing an MSc in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde and is now based in Edinburgh carrying out her Specialism in Device Risk Management and Governance as part of the Clinical Engineering Scheme.
